Concrete labourer / Steel fixer / MR Truck Driver

About the role

Jancode Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Concrete Labourer / Steel fixer / MR Truck Driver / Excavator operator to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. As a Concrete Labourer / Steel fixer / MR Truck Driver / operator, you will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespeople in the preparation, set up, and pouring of concrete for a variety of construction projects.

A full driver's licence is required for this role.

HR licence is required for this position.

Candidates that have a MR / HR truck licence with experience in concrete, there is an immediate start

What you'll be doing

• Preparing work areas by clearing debris and setting up equipment

• Assisting in Concrete, Steel fixing & Formwork

• Pouring and smoothing concrete, using tools such as shovels, rakes, and vibrating equipment

• Cutting, drilling, and finishing concrete surfaces as directed

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

• Loading & Unloading machinery to sites

• Operating Excavators & Skid steers

• Excavator operating experience is required for this position

• A minimum of 6-12 months excavator operating experience is required.

• Adhering to all health and safety protocols

• Valid Construction Induction (White Card) is required before start date

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Concrete Labourer or in a similar construction role

• Minimum 1 years of experience as a Concrete Labourer or in a similar construction role is required

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Good physical fitness and stamina

• Familiarity with concrete and pouring equipment

• Commitment to safety and attention to detail

• HR or MR truck license immediate start available in the new year
