Labourers, Arborists & Tree Management Officers - Local Government Opportunities

We are currently seeking Labourers, Qualified Arborists and Tree Management Officers for ongoing tree maintenance and tree asset management work across Sydney's Suburbs. These positions offer long-term employment opportunities, excellent working environments and potential pathways into permanent council roles.

Requirements:

• Physically fit and reliable
• Keen interest in the tree industry
• Previous outdoor labouring experience preferred
• MR Licence highly regarded

Arborists Working within council tree maintenance crews undertaking pruning, removals and vegetation management.

Requirements:

• Cert III Arboriculture (or equivalent)
• Previous arboriculture experience
• MR Licence highly regarded
• Chainsaw certification highly regarded
• EWP (11m+) highly regarded
• Traffic Control and Chemical Certification highly regarded

Tree Management Officers Working within council tree asset teams undertaking inspections, assessments and tree management activities across public spaces.

Requirements:

• Diploma of Arboriculture, Advanced Diploma of Arboriculture or equivalent tertiary qualification (essential)
• Current C Class Driver Licence (essential)
• Experience in tree assessment, reporting and arboriculture management
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Local government experience highly regarded
