Road Works Labourer - Hay

We currently have an opportunity available for capable and experienced labourers for work with a road maintenance team based at Hay. 

This role will involve working full time hours of work (8.5 hours/day - 76 hour/9 day fortnight) for an period of 2-3 months initially with genuine potential to continue beyond this time. A start of work ASAP is required. An attractive hourly pay rate is being offered, including overtime penalty rates for additional hours of work.

Duties will include general labouring tasks for routine roads maintenance tasks such as road pavement repairs/pothole patching, installing and repairing guard rails, barrier fencing and signage, traffic control, installing guide posts, rubbish collection and clearing/maintaining roadside vegetation.

Preference will be for applicants to hold a truck licence of MR or above, however applicants with a standard C class licence will also be considered.

Successful Applicants will need; 

• current WHS White Card

• current unrestricted driver licence - with MR licence or above a distinct advantage but not essential

• traffic control tickets - or willingness to obtain

• Worker On Foot card - or willingness to obtain (online link able to be provided for successful applicant to be completed as part of on-boarding process)

• good all round fitness for manual work tasks

• previous experience with road construction or maintenance would be a distinct advantage

NOTE: successful applicants will be required to complete a police check as part of the employment on-boarding process.
