Confined Space Sentry Labourers – Shutdown Works (Numurkah, VIC)

ISH24 are currently seeking motivated and safety-focused people to join our team as Confined Space Managers / Labourers for upcoming shutdown works in Numurkah, Victoria.

ISH24 specialises in the delivery of Confined Space and Safety Services. Our role is to ensure all confined space entry requirements are carried out in accordance with site policies and procedures, while providing sentry/standby support to enable works to be completed safely and efficiently.

We are looking for reliable individuals with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safe work practices. The ability to follow instructions, work effectively within a team, and operate independently when required is essential.

These works are ideal for people in seasonal or casual employment, those seeking additional income, individuals with flexible schedules, or anyone looking to gain further experience within the industrial and shutdown environment.

Job Details

• Dates: 3 August – 14 August 2026

• Shift Length: 10–12 hour shifts

• Location: Numurkah, Victoria

• Drive-In / Drive-Out

• Daily bus transport available from Huntly (Bendigo)

Duties Include (but are not limited to)

• General labouring duties

• Assisting with maintenance activities

• Confined space sentry/spotter duties as required

• Supporting shutdown crews to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently

• Maintaining compliance with site safety procedures

Qualifications & Other Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• RIIWHS202E – Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (current and issued within the last 2 years) - Training can be provided for the right candidate

• Current photo identification (Driver's Licence, Passport, or Proof of Age Card)

• Full working rights in Australia

• Ability to provide a clear Drug & Alcohol Test

• Be physically fit and capable of performing physically demanding tasks

Highly Regarded

• RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights

• MSMWHS217 – Gas Test Atmospheres

• Previous experience in a Labourer or Trade Assistant (TA) role

• Current EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket

Training may be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
