About the role

Granger Building and Construction is seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team on a casual basis. For the right person who is committed to succeed and grow with the business we will provide tickets in dogging, rigging, EWP, forklift and cranes. for this person we offer full-time hours and the opportunity to gain full-time employment. Based in Adelaide SA 5000, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects. As a Labourer, you will play a vital part in supporting our steel erection team, ensuring projects run smoothly and safely from start to finish. This position is essential to maintaining the quality and efficiency of our steel erection operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and maintaining construction sites, including clearing debris and organizing materials

2. Assisting the erection crew with various construction tasks and activities

3. Following all health and safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment

4. Operating hand tools and basic power tools under supervision

5. Working closely with rigging crew to learn and develop your skills

6. Operating forklifts to move materials around site

7. Supporting the team by responding promptly to requests and adapting to changing project requirements
   

What we're looking for

1. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions

2. A strong commitment to health and safety practices on construction sites

3. Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work on different sites around Adelaide

4. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors

5. Basic literacy and numeracy skills

6. A willingness to learn and develop new skills in the construction industry

7. Previous experience in construction and or cranes and rigging Preferred

8. Current tickets like white card, EWP, forklift, working at heights, dogging and rigging are highly desirable for this role preferred

9. Driver’s license and reliable transport essential
