LW’s Grain Covering Pty Ltd is one of Western Australia’s largest grain covering contractors covering millions of tonnes of grain each harvest. We operate throughout the central wheatbelt (Western Australia) utilising our strategic locations in Koorda, Merredin, York and Narrogin. Our primary task is to place grain covers over grain stacks during the harvest period (often referred to as tarping). During our harvest season we supplement our permanent staff with casual staff that are sourced from all over the world and throughout Australia. We focus on delivering a high quality, efficient service with an extremely high regard for safety.

Position Description

• Casual worker

We are seeking a fit, strong and motivated individual to complete tasks leading up to our harvest season as a labourer. Successful applicants will be required to work as part of a crew, consisting of between 6-9 staff. 

General labouring duties are required as well as sharing driving duties.

Positions to commence over the next 1-3 weeks.

Full-time opportunities may be available.

Position Requirements

Harvest Casual

Applicants must be flexible with work hours as weekend work, nightshifts and overtime will be required. 

No experience is necessary, all training provided (and paid for).

You must have/willing to obtain:

• A construction white card,

• Valid work rights to work in Australia,

• The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights and overtime,

• You must have a good level of fitness, be strong and keen to work hard,

• The ability to repeatably lift, pull and twist 25kg, for an entire shift,

• The ability to comfortably work in a team environment.

• Driving licence (car licence with no restrictions),

• Have their own car with the ability to travel to our work location,

• Respectable level of English speaking ability,

• Available accommodation in Perth,

• Ability to work away from home for periods.

Preference may be given to applicants that have;

• Previous labouring, farm, trade, military or similar experience,

• The ability to commit to working an entire season (from now until early January)
  

Offer

We offer above award rates (Pastoral Award), additional overtime rates & additional allowances.

For those on a WHV, this job counts towards all farm days.
