The Opportunity:

Yura Yarta is currently seeking Mixed-Labourer/Civil Construction Workers for an immediate start, on a casual basis with plant and equipment operating experience, construction & concreting experience to work at Moomba, Cooper Basin SA - working near a Major Hazard Facility.   On a 19:9 FIFO roster (from Adelaide/*Brisbane Airports), you’ll enjoy a balanced work schedule, 10-hour days with daily penalties, and the comfort of camp accommodation. 

Responsibilities include: 

Plant and Equipment

• Perform manual tasks such as digging, shovelling, lifting, and carrying materials up to 30kg.

• Assisting with formwork, steel fixing, concrete placement and concrete finishing. Including the formation of pouring pre-cast footings.

• Batching, delivering and pouring concrete.

• Operating Vac truck – excavate underground services, leaking pipes, damaged services etc.

• Excavation works/bulk detailed and trenching.

• Spotting around mobile plant and existing services.

• Safely operate power tools when required.

• Handle chemicals like grout, mortar, sealants, and epoxies safely.

• Operate in remote and rural environments.

• Concrete demolition works.

• Maintenance and preparation of surfaces including dirt/bitumen roads.

• Perform other construction duties as needed.

• Operate backhoe, loader, excavator and skid steer + labouring as needed.

• Drive tipper truck, concrete truck and vac truck + labouring as needed.

About you:

• This is a targeted position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Candidates.

• South Australia candidates preferred, QLD highly considered.

• Current HR-Unrestricted truck manual license (mandatory)

• Current HC-unrestricted truck licence (preferred).

• National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

• Operators experience in at least 1 of the following pieces plant/equipment; Excavator/loader/skid steer/Backhoe. (tickets required)

• White Card

• MSMWHS217 Gas detection ticket OR willingness to undergo training.

• Strong background in mixed labouring and civil construction

• Physically fit

• Ability to work as a team member, a can-do attitude
