ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Parks & Open Spaces Supervisor, this hands-on role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing Council’s parks, gardens, cemeteries, playgrounds and public spaces in Eidsvold.
You’ll be part of a community-focused team, carrying out a wide range of tasks including mowing, pruning, landscaping, spraying, operating equipment, and maintaining public amenities. It’s a varied and rewarding role where you can see the results of your work each day and take pride in keeping our region’s open spaces safe, welcoming and well presented.
This position will suit someone who enjoys working outdoors, values teamwork, and takes pride in their contribution to the community. Physical fitness, reliability and a willingness to work in all weather conditions are essential.
ABOUT YOU
You enjoy being outdoors, take pride in your work and don’t mind getting your hands dirty (or on the mower). You are a reliable team player who can follow instructions and work independently.
To be successful, you’ll need:
A current C Class driver’s licence and White Card
Experience using mowers, whipper snippers, blowers or similar tools/plant
The ability to work safely and follow procedures
A genuine interest in parks, gardens and public spaces
A reasonable level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
The following would be a bonus:
ACDC/Commercial Operator’s Licence
Certificate II in Horticulture or Landscaping
MR licence or above, First Aid, and experience using plant like skid steers or loaders
