Civil Labourer / Trades Assistant

We are a solutions-based Electrical and Communications Contractor specialising in sportsground and public lighting projects. Based in Mount Waverley, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality service to council municipalities and private sector clients across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Civil Labourer / Trades Assistant to join our Civil Department. This role involves working within a civil crew on projects across the commercial, recreation and local government sectors.

About the Role

You will assist with a variety of civil works including trenching, underground conduit and pit installation, concreting, and site reinstatement.

Typical Duties

• Preparing trenches for underground services

• Installing conduit and electrical cabling

• Cable hauling

• Minor concreting works

• Installation of pillars and light pole footings

• Site reinstatement and clean-up

About You

• Previous experience as a Civil Labourer or Trades Assistant 

• OH&S White Card required

• Current drivers licence essential

• Physically fit and capable of manual labour

• Punctual, reliable and self-motivated

• Able to follow direction and work both independently and within a team

• Willingness to learn new skills with training provided

• Ability to follow OH&S procedures and complete required documentation

• 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday (38-hour work week)
