About the role
Join LGI’s Infrastructure team as a Construction Labourer and play a hands-on role in building and maintaining landfill gas infrastructure.
As a valued team member, you will receive on-the-job training. We will invest in your career development, which may include obtaining machine operator tickets, poly pipe welding certifications, confined space certification, and your truck license.
This Sydney-based role includes regular travel to regional NSW and the ACT for 2-week periods. A current driver’s licence and your own vehicle are essential. When travelling, LGI provides pool vehicles, accommodation, and meal allowances.
Carry out general labouring tasks, including site preparation and material handling
Assist with the welding and installation of poly pipelines
Support and learn mobile plant operations within the infrastructure team, including excavator, possi track and drill rig operations.
Experience working on landfill sites or around mobile plant is advantageous — but not essential. We’ll teach you what you need to know.
Construction Induction (White) Card – mandatory
Proven experience as a skilled labourer (construction or landfill industry preferred)
Ability to pass respirator fit-testing
Reliable transport and current driver’s licence
Physically fit – able to lift upto 20kg and work in all weather conditions
Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
A team player who can also work independently
Willingness to undertake pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing
