If you enjoy working in an outdoor environment and contributing towards ensuring a vibrant town we would like to hear from you. The Shire of Exmouth is seeking Engineering Labourers to join the team on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Coordinator Works the Engineering Labourer will work within a team environment to support the delivery of manual and plant-assisted tasks to enhance the town’s infrastructure, amenity, and liveability for residents and visitors. The role contributes to ensuring that the operations of the Engineering portfolio across teh Shire of Exmouth are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
The Engineering Labourer will perform key functions, including but not limited to physical labouring activities associated with:
• Road surfaces, Footpaths and Kerbs reinstatement.
• Paving, Line marking and Bitumen works.
• Drainage.
• Fencing and Safety Barriers.
• Guide posts.
• Herbicide use.
• Tree management.
• Maintenance of parks, gardens, town street verges and recreation areas.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have a Medium Rigid (MR) licence, a minimum of 2 years of experience on a variety of civil construction machinery, competency tickets for light and heavy plant and experience in handling of horticulture equipment.
What we offer: This position is classified as a Level 5 under the Shire of Exmouth Industrial Agreement 2025 and comes with the following remuneration benefits;
Base salary of $72,558 per annum
Housing allowance of $5,000 per annum
Location allowance of $2,002 per annum
Up to 22% superannuation (includes co-contribution by you)
Rostered 9-day fortnight
5-weeks of annual leave per annum
Eligibility for long service leave after 7 years of service (conditions apply), uniform allowance, employee assistance program and other well-being services
