Road Works Labourer with MR licence - Orange

We currently have an opportunity available for a capable and experienced labourer for work with road maintenance teams based at Orange. Applicants will need to hold an MR driver licence as a minimum.

Commencing immediately, this role will involve working full time hours for a period of approximately 3 months initially, with potential for further work depending on satisfactory performance and operational needs. An attractive hourly pay rate is being offered.

You will be based from a depot at Orange, undertaking work across various locations between Wellington and Lithgow.

Duties will include a range of tasks to support the maintenance and/or construction of pavements and drainage systems; and establishment and maintenance of roadside fixtures and signage. Works will include minor and heavy patching, repairs of guardrail and safety barriers, installation of signage, removal of vegetation and other similar tasks to look after the state highway network throughout the Central West region.

Successful Applicants will need; 

• Current WHS White Card

• Worker On Foot card - or willingness to obtain prior to start of work (online link able to be provided for successful applicant)

• Unrestricted MR driver licence - or above (HR preferred but not essential)

• good all round fitness for manual work tasks

• previous experience with road construction or maintenance, or general civil work sites will be highly regarded
