Our branch located in Tomago NSW, is currently the largest cable repair shop in Australia servicing customers primarily in the Hunter Valley. As the workshop Labourer you will support and assist our specialised workers in Cable Repairs. Day to day you will be tasked with performing various tasks to aid in the daily operation of our busy workshop, all geared toward maintaining a clean, safe and efficient site while supporting overall production.
Cleaning work areas of debris and machinery
Handling and transporting of materials and components.
Using power tools and machinery, including forklifts.
Assist with setting up temporary workspaces.
Following instructions from supervisors to perform manual tasks.
Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
Perform minor equipment maintenance.
Vehicle cleaning and detailing
Chemical & waste handling and disposal
Manual Lifting
Reporting of identified workshop hazards.
Live locally around the Newcastle/Maitland area.
Have previous workshop labouring experience.
Understand safe working practices and manual handling techniques.
Hold a current drivers’ licence
Have a Forklift license - desirable
Demonstrate a great attitude and willingness to learn.
