Open Electrical Solar is a family-owned electrical contractor based in Brisbane specialising in high quality solar and battery installations.

Founded in 2013, we have built a strong reputation across South East Queensland for doing things properly — no subcontractors, no shortcuts, and a focus on quality installations.

Due to strong growth and increasing demand, we are looking for experienced Solar Roof Labourers / Installers to join our installation teams.

We currently run multiple install crews and are expanding our workforce as our project pipeline continues to grow.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role working on residential solar and battery installations across Brisbane and surrounding areas.

You will work alongside our electricians assisting with solar installations, panel placement, mounting systems, and general rooftop work.

Most days involve one solar or solar + battery installation, with consistent work available year-round.

This role is ideal for someone who already has solar installation or rooftop experience and wants to join a well organised team with stable work.

For the right person, there may also be future opportunities to move into an electrical apprenticeship.

Your Responsibilities

Carrying and positioning solar panels on roofs
Assisting with installation of mounting systems and rails
Supporting electricians with solar panel installation
Assisting with cable runs and inverter installations
Helping remove and replace existing solar systems
Loading and unloading tools, panels, and equipment
Maintaining a clean and safe work site
Following all working at heights and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

Previous solar installation or rooftop labouring experience
Working at Heights ticket
White Card
Physically fit and comfortable working on roofs
Strong work ethic and reliability
Driver’s licence preferred

We are also open to experienced backpackers or trades workers looking to move companies, provided you have solar installation experience.

What We Offer

$35 – $45 per hour + super (based on experience)

Location
