Parks & Gardens Labourer

About the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated General Labourer to join a Local Government team and make a visible impact on the community. You will be an essential part of the crew responsible for maintaining and improving public spaces, parks, and local infrastructure, ensuring they are safe, clean, and enjoyable for all residents.

You'll be working on a variety of tasks, including:

• Parks and gardens maintenance, such as mowing, planting, mulching, and general tidying.
• General manual handling tasks (shovelling, raking, lifting, and digging).
• Assisting with minor infrastructure maintenance and repairs.
• Keeping public spaces and streets clean and presentable.
• Operating basic plant and hand tools.
• Making sure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

About you:

You are a reliable, physically fit, and proactive individual who enjoys hands-on, outdoor work and takes pride in contributing to a team. You have a strong commitment to safety and a positive, can-do attitude.

• Ability to perform physically demanding manual work in various weather conditions.
• Previous experience in parks and gardens, or a similar role is required.
• Must have a current MR Driver's Licence.
• Current Traffic Management ticket is desirable.
• Be willing to undergo a national police check.
