Stonemason

We are a natural stone manufacturing company in need of a stone mason or someone wanting to apprentice as one. Our company Euro Marble cut, machine, manufacture and install stone for a variety of clients. We are a medium business that creates high-quality stone products and have worked with many well-known clients and brands within Australia.

Mandatory Skills/Licenses:

Ability to drive automatic

Able to lift heavy objects

White card

Skills that will be learned:

• Glueing Mitres and mixing colours for the best match

• Profiling and shaping stone by hand

• Honing and Polishing a variety of different stone types

• Core drilling holes and opening various cutout types

• Detail work on various chips and breaks

• Mechanical fixing systems for stones

• Reinforcing stone appropriately

• Installation of kitchens,vanities, walls, floors and other unique objects and designs

• Various surface techniques such as sandblasting, chiseling, and bush hammering

• Floor polishing and buffing

• Operation of an overhead gantry crane

• Packing A frames

• Proper handling of stone

Expectations:

We expect individuals to keep a clean and tidy work environment and treat all factory tools and machinery with respect

Show up in a timely and organized fashion with steel cap boots

The ability to listen and follow the proper structure set within the factory environment such as listening to the instructions set by the factory manager

We have a multitude of machines that can help aid in facilitating the working process. This includes two bridge saws, two 5-axis cnc machines, slab polisher, manual rotating arm poliisher and a 5-axis water jet.

We are understanding towards our staff who we do allow a certain degree  flexibility for arising situations such as maybe having to leave early to pick a child up from school
