Production Labourers – Carole Park - $36 phr + Super (Day shift)

Fuse Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Production Labourers to work in “Hand Sorting” roles for our client who is a National Leader in their field specialising in manufacturing of building products. Located in Carole Park with free onsite parking available. These roles are temp to perm after three months!

• $36p/hr + Super
• Temp to Perm after 3 months!

The Client:
A National brand specialising in the cement and timber building industries, located in Carole Park.

The Role:

In this role you will work as a Hand sorter and production labourer All-rounder in a team environment.
Duties will based in the production team for our client. This is a labour intensive role where you will be sorting through sheets of timber and then loading timber sheets onto machinery to be cut and shaped to client specific orders.

You will also be counting stock, palletising stock and checking for quality and defects.
You will be picking of stock and preparing orders for shipping. You will also be working with oversized products up to 6 metres long.

Your main duties will also include:
 

• Loading timber sheets onto cutting machinery
• Manually stacking oversized sheets of timber and products onto pallets
• Loading Oversized pallets up to 6 meters long onto pallets
• Counting of stock
• Checking stock for Defects
• Quality assurance checks
• Wrapping and strapping pallets
• Pallet Jack Duties
• Matching Paperwork to orders
• Loading Oversized pallets up to 6 meters long
• Transfer products from rework area to strapping area.
• Shrink wrapping Pallets
• Palletising of goods
• Packing of goods

This is a loud, dusty and at times dirty environment to work in.

The Candidates:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have experience:

• Experience in working with oversized pallets and ugly freight
• Pick packing, palletising stock
• Shrink wrapping (Both manual and machine operated)
• Experience working with oversized stock such as timber and wood products
• Wrapping and strapping pallets experience
• The ability to lift products up to 20kgs
• The ability to check goods for quality assurance and defects purposes
• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent WHS knowledge
• An ability to commit to the role in an ongoing capacity
