Casual labourers required for Bush Regeneration/Horticulture industry


Cumberland Plain Regeneration (CPR) established in 2019 providing bush regeneration services to the western Sydney area and the Cumberland Plain in particular.

The role requires working in a variety of bushland settings and weather conditions. Our team utilises different methods of weed removal ranging from hand weeding to chainsaw use. Work sites span western Sydney from Camden, Penrith, Glenorie, and Casula therefore having your own transport is essential. Applicants must be reliable, proactive, and be able to follow instructions.


Duties include but not limited to:

·      Assist chainsaw operator with tree/weed preparation & dragging debris

·      Planting and watering

·      Use of small plant equipment, i.e., brush cutter, auger, reciprocating saw

·      Weed removal using secateurs, loppers, mattock, pull saw etc.


Essential criteria:

·      Current drivers’ licence and transport

·      Physical fitness with the ability to work in challenging environments & weather conditions

·      Ability to follow instruction

·      Must be able to work within a team environment

·      Availability to work a minimum of 4 days, Monday to Friday


Desirable qualifications:

·      Chemcert AQF3

·      Certificate in chainsaw operations

·      Certificate in Conservation & ecosystems management

·      Working with children’s check

·      Police check

·      WHS White Card

·      First Aid Certificate


Salary

Casual hourly rate: $30.35 (Gardening & Landscaping award: MA000101)
