About the role

DSM CONSTRUCTION is seeking experienced pipelayers, labourers, operators and truck drivers to join our growing team in Adelaide, SA working across Metro, North and regional SA. New project starting in Bordertown.

LAFHA applies for regional work, with projects including SA Water works, extensions, and connections

This is a casual (full time hours) role.

You will play a vital role in the successful delivery of our construction projects across the region.

Available Roles & Responsibilities:

• Pipelayer / Civil Crew: Lay sewer and water mains, work with trench shields and lasers, backfill, and assist plant operators.

• Plant Operator: Operate excavators, loaders, rollers; trenching and civil infrastructure works.

• Truck Driver (MR/HR/HC): Transport materials, assist on-site, deliver equipment safely.

Requirements:

• White Card (Construction Induction)

• Relevant tickets/experience for operators

• C-class license for Team Leaders/Pipelayers (HR/MR if operating larger vehicles)

• MR/HR/HC license for Truck Drivers

• Ability to work safely, in a team, and follow direction

What you'll be doing

1. Laying and installing various types of pipes, including water, sewerage, and drainage systems

2. Assisting with general labouring duties on construction sites

3. Operating a range of construction equipment and machinery, such as excavators, loaders, and compactors

4. Driving and operating heavy trucks for the transportation of materials and equipment

5. Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site

Pipelayer positions require a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience in pipe installation and laying.

Truck Driver positions require a minimum of 3+ years experience in heavy vehicle operation.

What we're looking for

1. Relevant experience in the construction industry, particularly in pipelaying, labouring, operating construction equipment, or driving heavy vehicles

2. Plant Operator positions require a minimum of 1-2 years experience operating construction equipment and machinery.

3. Knowledge of construction processes, safety procedures, and the use of various tools and equipment

4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

6. Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment

7. Relevant licences and certifications, such as a forklift licence, truck licence, or construction industry white card

8. Legal work status in Australia is required for all positions.
